As leaders we have the potential to face the danger of status quo. We are focused on supporting and developing our team, growing our business, and in today’s current environment, we’re learning new ways to manage, lead, and drive results remotely. At the end of the day, it’s easy to neglect our own personal growth and development.

Throughout my career, I have learned that we must remain teachable — we must be on a journey of lifetime growth. A mentor of mine asked me this simple question, “When was the last time you did something for the first time?” Pause, and re-read that again. When was the last time YOU did something for the first time? Powerful question, right?

When we give ourselves permission to make our own personal growth a priority, we create more value for those of us around us.  Here is a simple formula for why we should keep growing:

  • Who we are is dictated by our growth
  • Who we are determines who we attract
  • Who we attract defines the success of our organization

What can you do today that will help you tomorrow?

Stay teachable, and keep growing my friend.
